On Friday, April 25, ASCRS Glaucoma Day 2014 is offering attendees a full-day pro- g ram, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., featuring presentations and discussions on imaging, medica- tions, lasers, and surgery, as well as a crossover cornea/cataract talk and healthcare lecture. P osters on the subject of glau- coma will be available for access from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting on Friday and running until Tuesday, April 29, at kiosks in the B oston Convention and Exhibition Center. These posters will showcase research from institutions around the world on a variety of topics within the subspecialty. Posters that will be on view will include "Bimatoprost 0.01% or 0.03% After Latanoprost 0.005% Treatment in Glaucoma or Ocular H ypertension: Two Randomized 12-Week Trials," from Jonathan S. Myers, MD, Steven D. Vold, MD, Fiaz Zaman, MD, Julia Williams, and David A. Hollander, MD, as well as "Undetected Angle Closure in Patients With Diagnosis of Open- Angle Glaucoma," from Sarah M. Simpson, MD, Devesh K. Varma, M D, Amandeep S. Rai, MD, and Ike K. Ahmed, MD. Saturday On Saturday, April 26, the "ASCRS Paper Session 1-L: Glaucoma Surgi- cal" will feature Reay H. Brown, MD, as moderator and a panel of experts at the session, which will include presentations on research in the field of glaucoma surgery. The paper session will run from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday On Sunday, those interested in glau- coma and retina-related topics can attend the "S-7 Symposium: Clinical challenges in the co-management of glaucoma and retinal disease," sponsored by the ASCRS Glaucoma Clinical Committee and the ASCRS Retina Clinical Committee, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. The symposium will be moder- ated by Douglas Rhee, MD, and Keith A. Warren, MD, from the two respective subspecialties, and a group of panelists from both fields of ophthalmology. Potential topics of discussion at the symposium include dislocated IOLs, bleb-related infection, intraoc- ular steroid-associated glaucoma, neovascular issues, hypotony macu- lopathy, and aqueous redirection. From 9:15 to 10:15 a.m., Ike K. Ahmed, MD, will be the instructor at the "T&N Course: What's new in glaucoma surgery?" The course will examine the latest in diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical innova- tions in glaucoma.
