Because many of the high-profile stores are concentrated in one area of the city, tourists and locals often rave about the convenience of shopping in Chicago. The Magnificent Mile Often compared to New York's Fifth Avenue and Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, much of Chicago's first- rate shopping is located along this roughly mile-long stretch of North Michigan Avenue. Pratesi claims to use the best cotton in the world to create its deluxe bed, bath, and table linens. River North Chicago is considered a breeding ground for emerging artists and art dealers. In addition to the art gal- leries, a growing number of home- design stores are also located in this area. This store sells classically designed furnishings in addition to decorative home accessories. Wicker Park This artsy neighborhood is home to an eclectic mix of gift shops, furni- ture stores, antique shops, and clothing boutiques. Habit 1951 W.
