practices as well as large. Forty-three
percent perform fewer than 400
cataract surgeries annually, and 10%
conduct more than 1,000, affirming
that the society adds value for cat-
aract surgeons of varied capacities.
Fifty-six percent of members have
been with the organization for less
than 10 years, indicating a strong
balance between young, developing
ophthalmologists and seasoned,
accomplished physicians, who often
serve as mentors and teachers for
their younger counterparts.
All ASCRS•ASOA members are
