According to his biography on the St. Vincent University Hospital's website, Dr. Barry was trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and later completed a retina fellow- ship in the U.S. Among his notable peer-re- viewed papers was his landmark research on intracameral antibiotics and endophthalmitis. "I personally enjoyed his unique sense of humor, his great stories, and vast life experience, [which] he shared generously. This loss was so sudden and unexpected that it is very hard to believe Peter is no [longer] with us." (ESCRS) stated in an online announcement. A founding member of ESCRS in the early 1990s, Dr. Barry served the society in various capacities includ- ing as its treasurer, director, and president in 2012 and 2013.
