ASCRS ASOA Welcome Party San Diego Convention Center, Exhibit Hall A–D 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5 ASCRS Foundation Run for Sight 5K San Diego Harbor 6:30 a.m. Surgical Essentials: Getting You Out of Trouble in Cataract Surgery San Diego Convention Center, Room 6A 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. The session will explore challenges in cataract surgery like soft cataracts, hard/brunescent cataracts, broken posterior capsule, subluxated lenses, and more. This is a combined session of ASCRS, ESCRS, APACRS, and ALACCSA-R/LASCRS. ASOA Sunday General Session San Diego Convention Center, Room 28 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. The session will feature speaker Cara Silletto. The Sunday Summit San Diego Convention Center, 20ABC 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This includes both the ASCRS Lecture on Science, Medicine and Technology and The Voice of Ophthalmology. Thursday, May 2 OIS@ASCRS All day at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Friday, May 3 ASCRS Refractive Day All day at the San Diego Convention Center The day will feature sections on refractive corneal surgery, premium refractive lens surgery, tips, pearls, and take-home messages, and choos- ing and using the right IOL. It will also feature the Steinert Refractive Lecture from Eric Donnenfeld, MD. Cornea Day All day at the San Diego Convention Center The day will cover "Advanced Techniques on Anterior Segment Recon- struction," "Corneal/Lamellar or Transplant Surgery," "Preparing the Ocular Surface for Cataract Surgery," and "Controversies and Compli- cations." ASCRS Glaucoma Day All day at the San Diego Convention Center The day will include a joint ASCRS/AGS symposium, and sections on medications, lasers, video cases, and more. It will also feature an inter- national guest speaker, the 2019 Stephen A. Obstbaum, MD, Honored Lecture, and the popular GFC Debate. eyePAC reception San Diego Zoo, Sydney's Grill 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Contributors to eyePAC, ASCRS' nonpartisan political action commit- tee, can enjoy an evening at the San Diego Zoo in the Australian Out- back/Urban Jungle section, with food and drinks and the opportunity to see animals such as giraffes, koalas, and rhinos. Those welcome to attend include members at the Congressional Insider Club level ($500) or higher (RSVP required). Young Eye Surgeon (YES) members can bring one guest with a $50 contribution. Saturday, May 4 ASCRS Roundtables: Meet the Experts San Diego Convention Center, Mezzanine Level, Room 16AB 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Attendees will have the chance to meet with experts to discuss different topics including astigmatism management, biometry and IOL calcu- lations, complex cataract management, FLACS in complex cases, and more.
