It was first estab- lished in 1979 and has more than 7,000 contemporary art objects. It has a number of permanent and temporary exhibitions. Natural History Museum of Los Angeles 900 Exposition Boulevard www.nhm.org The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles is the largest natural and historical museum in the western United States. Permanent exhibits touch on a variety of mammals, birds, art, dinosaurs, and gems and minerals, among others. General admission for adults is $12.
