While Dr. Wang said they think air pollution is a global health issue, he noted a World Health Organiza- tion report that cited the Western Pacific and South East Asia as having the most deaths attributable to am- bient air pollution. 8 Going forward, Dr. Cheng said her team is planning on studies that will evaluate the im- pact of air pollution on other ocular vascular disorders. "In the future, a prospective study with an ambulatory personal air pollution monitor may pro- vide more individualized data and clarify the impact of air pollution on human health.
