Laschet's Inn opened in 1971 and serves up authentic German comfort food like goulash, beef stroganoff, and bratwurst in a casual atmosphere. It has both an indoor and outdoor space that can be visited all year round. It show- cases electronic and dance music and also features a variety of artists, as well as popular DJs. Vertigo Sky Lounge 2 West Erie Street 312-202-6060 www.vertigoskylounge.com Vertigo Sky Lounge is on the 26th floor of the Dana Hotel and Spa and features both an indoor and outdoor lounge space. The lounge boasts a variety of DJs and also advertises a Rooftop Ice Bar in the winter. EW Chi Bar 301 East North Water Street 312-755-2227 www.sheratonchicago.com/dining Located in the Sheraton Grand Chi- cago, this bar was designed by archi- tect Jeffrey Beers. The bar is located on the waterfront with both lake and river views. The menu includes a wine selection, craft beers, and cocktails, as well as small plates. Coq d'Or 140 East Walton Place 312-787-2200 www.thedrakehotel.com/dining/coq-d-or This classy lounge, famous for its martinis, is located on the first floor of the Drake Hotel. Coq d'Or opened a day after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933 and remains a popular spot for locals and visitors. Live music is performed on the weekend at its piano bar. Set to look like a 1960s beauty salon, Beauty Bar opened in Chicago in 2010. Visitors can stop by nightly for manicures and martinis and enjoy some of the bar's signature cocktails.
