the annual meeting. "The Center for
Learning was a huge undertaking—
but one that was really needed. It
will provide incredible value for the
membership," he said. "We've taken
all the resources from ASCRS—from
the annual meetings to the publica-
tions to the multimedia content—
and compiled them in a place where
we can search and find exactly what
we want—be it an article, an image,
or a video. We've started with 2015
to try to have high-quality, high-im-
pact, highly pertinent material
that will be available to all of our
members, and the plan is to grow
it comprehensively from this point
forward."
Until now, education assets
were found in subsections under the
Educational Resources tab at ASCRS.
com. The new Center for Learning
replaces the entire Educational
Resources section and features an
intuitive search interface that allows
members to browse content or
conduct focused searches for specific
content.
"Are you undertaking a new
technique? You'll be able to find
whatever resource you need, all in
1 location, digitally," Dr. Solomon
said. "You'll be able to download it.
You'll be able to view it. You'll be
able to learn from it. The Center for
Learning offers a wealth of informa-
tion at your fingertips."
Another highlight of the Center
for Learning is its scalability; re-
gardless of what platform or device
you're using, physicians will experi-
ence full functionality.
The Center for Learning makes
it simple to find whatever a physi-
cian may be looking for—all in 1
place. If physicians missed the demo
at the ASCRS•ASOA Gateway booth
at the 2016 ASCRS•ASOA Sym-
posium & Congress, they can use
this convenient new tool to access
post-meeting resources, including
select sessions within 24 hours after
they are presented.
The new ASCRS Center for
Learning is a source for the most
up-to-date and relevant anterior
segment content. By providing an
online, searchable repository of oph-
thalmic resources at ascrs.org/learn,
the Center for Learning will allow
practitioners to enhance the practice
and teaching of ophthalmology and
improve patient care. EW
