"This year's Glaucoma Day con- tinues to feature the latest clinically relevant information that you can use in your practice the day you return from the annual meeting," said Douglas Rhee, MD, chair of the ASCRS Glaucoma Clinical Com- mittee and a Glaucoma Day faculty member. "We will cover the broad gamut of current and upcoming di- agnostic testing, EHR technology, as well as medical, laser, and incisional surgery options. The perennial au- dience favorite, a video symposium of managing surgical complications, also returns. The content is delivered by a diverse group of nationally and internationally renowned clini- cians." A highlight of ASCRS Glaucoma Day is the Stephen A. Obstbaum, MD, Honored Lecture, presented this year by Ronald Fellman, MD, Glaucoma Associates of Texas. "Giv- ing a named lecture is an honor, but when the lecture is named for a good friend, Steve Obstbaum, MD, a giant in the field of ophthal- mology and glaucoma, it is very special," Dr. Fellman said. He will honor Dr. Obstbaum with a glauco- ma talk titled "Canal Surgery: The Big Easy or Po-Boys." "I promise it will take some of the voodoo out of glaucoma surgery and better explain why canal surgery works, and why we sometimes end up as po-boys (poor boys—in other words, surgery failed)." ASCRS Glaucoma Day requires a separate registration. More information and a detailed program schedule can be found at ASCRSGlaucomaDay.org.
