'Refractive Surgery' "While not a pure refractive surgery meeting, WCCVII recognizes the importance of refractive surgery in the corneal subspecialist practice," said Michael W. Belin, MD, professor of ophthalmology and vision science, University of Arizo- na, Tucson, the session's moderator. Ekktet Chansue, MD, and Arthur B. Cummings, MD, will discuss 2 procedures that may play a pivotal role in the future of refrac- tive surgery. Dr. Chansue will discuss small-incision lenticule extraction (ReLEx SMILE, Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany) and whether it is the wave of the future, and Dr. Cummings will highlight the role of crosslinking in refractive surgery. Rohit Shetty, MD, will close the session with "Unhappy Optics/Un- happy Patients: Optics of Refractive Surgery," an issue of practical impor- tance to all refractive surgeons.
