Central Vision Analyzer is an interactive computer
device that measures acuity at fixation under six
conditions that simulate real-world mesopic and
glare enviroments. The device runs independently
without the need for a technician or physician ex-
aminer. Total testing time is approximately 4
mintues including automated instructions (English
and Spanish) for both eyes.

forms three different measurements: OSI (objective
scatter index) quantifies the degree of intraocular
scattering, optical quality: the real PSF and MTF, af-
