Michael Belin, MD, and Stephen Kaufman, MD, from the Cornea Society will join Dr. Tan in a sympo- sium titled "Surgical Innovation for Corneal Disease," in which they will discuss the latest advances in ocular surface reconstruction and the Boston keratoprosthesis. Allan R. Slomovic, MD, a cornea and refractive surgeon from Toronto, will present this year's Harold A. Stein, MD, Lecture titled "Contemporary Techniques in the Management of Primary and Recur- rent Pterygium." The Keynote Lecture "Myopia Progression: Update and Insights" will be presented by Karla Zadnik, OD, PhD, associate dean at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Zadnik chaired the Collaborative Longitudinal Evalua- tion of Keratoconus (CLEK) Study, the first-ever NEI-funded multicen- ter study based in optometry. Saturday evening, the CLAO journal Eye & Contact Lens will sponsor an additional 90-minute, non-CME session on corneal colla- gen crosslinking. Plan to join the journal leadership for an update on the latest advances in CXL technique and technology. Host city June is a perfect time to stroll around Toronto and enjoy the shops and restaurants that line the down- town area.
