Boyle EyeWorld Senior Staff Writer The new site, EWrePlay.org, has three distinct sections featuring videos that showcase physicians' clinical interviews, information, and education E yeWorld is seeking physician-submitted surgical videos for the clinical section, known as Clinical.EWrePlay.org, of its new video website, EWrePlay.org. The site offers easy access to ophthalmology-related videos, and is powered by a responsive design that works across all platforms. EyeWorld recently launched the new and improved video site, granting users access to three sections offering different videos—a Video Reporter section, a Corporate rePlay section, and the Clinical rePlay section—with distinct videos in each category. In the Clinical rePlay section, videos show surgical cases from ophthalmologists related to articles that run in the print edition of EyeWorld and online. "With our site, we give you immediate access to what you're looking for, no login or password, just click and play," said Donald Long, publisher of EyeWorld. Call for submissions Have a clinical video or subject matter that you would like to see in a video on the new site? EyeWorld is looking to build content on Clinical rePlay, and add to its knowledge bank in the clinical section offerings, and is actively pursuing physician-submitted surgical videos. A "Submit a Video" tab on the upper right hand corner of the website, at Clinical.EWrePlay.org, leads to a form that those interested in submitting a video can fill out to easily upload their video; EyeWorld staff will do the rest. Or you can use the "Contact Us" tab with inquiries. "Our search functionality, from dropdown tabs to browse tags, makes it easy to search by category, what's trending, or physician," said Mr. Long. EyeWorld rePlay Clinical.EWrePlay.org is a library of videos connected to articles that ran in EyeWorld. There are links to videos in the online EyeWorld articles at digital.eyeworld.org, and links to the articles through the video site. In addition, the submissions will add depth to the content database. The other sections of EyeWorld rePlay offer video content for ophthalmologists as well. EWrePlay.org features clinical interviews from global ophthalmology meetings, with the 2013 American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in New Orleans currently featured. The interviews from the meeting are archived by day. Joshua A. The website also offers users sleek ways of finding content, including a scrollable "Most Viewed Videos" window, tags to browse, and video archives of past meetings. Videos from seven 2013 meetings are now archived on the site, including the 2013 ASCRS•ASOA Symposium & Congress and Winter Update 2013. Corporate.EWrePlay.org features interviews with industry and physicians on new devices, products, and techniques, and features a "Filter by Company" window to streamline content searches. "We recently added a 'Share a Link' button below the video player, which will give you a link you can cut and paste and send to anyone you would like to see this video," said Mr. Long. "When someone clicks on this link, the selected video will play in the player."
