The ASCRS Foundation supports physician education and provides humanitarian cataract surgery in the U.S. and overseas. Through its programs and partnerships, the Foundation works to maximize the benefits of modern ophthalmology, to treat thousands of patients in need each year. The ASCRS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. Visit www.ascrsfoundation.org. International Humanitarian Eyecare and Education The ASCRS Foundation seeks to address individual cases of cataract blindness and the root cause: the shortage of eye surgeons in the developing world. The solution is two-fold: Create world-class medical centers where efficient doctors can establish a presence, like the Sinskey Eye Institute, and focus on education, raising the local standards for both patient care and physician training. Volunteer Operation Sight is powered by a nationwide network of volunteer surgeons and their colleagues. Our volunteers are committed to caring for those who could not otherwise afford life-changing cataract surgery. Learn more about the Operation Sight volunteer experience, meet our volunteers, and get involved today. Contact Jaya Minhas at jminhas@ascrs.org. Your Gift Will Change Lives When you join the ASCRS Foundation's group of loyal donors, you help make charitable cataract surgery possible for those most in need. We are committed to providing you with secure and flexible options to support our mission. Make a donation by visiting https://www.ascrsfoundation.org/donate. Operation Sight: Helping Those in Need Operation Sight, the Foundation's U.S.-based charitable cataract surgery program, serves financially vulnerable, uninsured, and underinsured Americans, who cannot afford or access care. Operation Sight has delivered more than 5,000 surgeries through a nationwide network of 500 volunteer surgeons committed to caring for patients in need.
