The program continues on August 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and August 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The 2019 program chairs are Douglas Koch, MD, and Elizabeth Yeu, MD. ASCRS Young Eye Surgeons Program Designed with early-career ophthalmologists in mind, the ASCRS Young Eye Surgeons Program features a full day and a half of skills transfer sessions, general sessions, and round- table breakout groups. A travel reimbursement is available for residents and fellows based in the U.S. who attend the entire program. Topics covered in the program include: • Surgical Management of Astigmatism • Improving the Preoperative and Intraopera- tive Processes for Refractive Cataract Surgery • Complex Cataract Cases Video Session R egistration is open for the 2019 ASCRS and ASOA Combined Oph- thalmic Symposium, sponsored by ASCRS, ASOA, and the American Society of Ophthalmic Registered Nurses (ASORN). This annual event is being held August 23–25 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas. The program offers opportunities for integrated staff development, featuring tracks for ophthalmologists, practice management staff, optometrists, and nurses and technicians. The meeting now features an expanded track specifically designed to address the unique needs of physicians early in their career. ASCRS Ophthalmologist Program The 2019 ASCRS Ophthalmologist Program is aimed at anterior segment surgeons, com- prehensive ophthalmologists, and ophthalmic residents and fellows with an interest in anterior segment care.
