This skills transfer lab brings together ASCRS Leadership and Residency Program Directors and Faculty from across the United States for one to one instruction at each station. FRIDAY, MAY 3 • 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. YOUNG EYE SURGEONS (YES) SKILLS TRANSFER LAB Sponsored by the Young Eye Surgeons (YES) Clinical Committee CATARACT AND REFRACTIVE STATIONS Planning Committee Leela Raju, MD; Grace Sun, MD; Mitchel Weikert, MD Attendees will rotate through stations covering a review of phaco settings and fluidics, incisions, capsulorhexis, phacoemulsification, cortex removal, capsule tension ring placement, iris hooks, Malyugin Rings, chopping and flipping, secondary IOLs, scleral fixation, and lens folding and loading. CORNEA STATIONS Planning Committee Jessica Ciralsky, MD; Marjan Farid, MD; Richard Stutzman, MD Attendees will rotate through a review of astigmatism management, Limbal Relaxing Incisions, Suturing and DMEK. GLAUCOMA STATIONS Planning Committee David Crandall, MD; Shane Havens, MD; Kuldev Singh, MD, MPH Attendees will explore various glaucoma procedures to include minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and micro stent implant- trabecular and supraciliary.
