After her residency, Dr. Fram completed a 1-year fellow- ship in cornea, external disease and uveitis at the Francis I. Proctor Foun- dation, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Fram has published nu- merous articles, and her interests A SCRS is, at its core, a member-led organization. Much of the education, information, and other offerings are developed by anterior segment specialists for ante- rior segment specialists. The success of the organization is highly impact- ed by the continued dedication and volunteerism of the individuals who serve as educators. Every month, we feature one of these member volunteers. We introduce you to individuals who have contributed to the society's outstanding education, helping members strengthen their skills, sharpen their expertise, and provide better care to patients. This month's spotlight member is Nicole Fram, MD. Dr. Fram is extremely active in all aspects of ASCRS. At the 2018 Young Eye Surgeons (YES) Advanced Cataract Training in September, she served as a faculty member and presented and participated in several educational sessions during the meeting. She has been a valuable contributor at several YES Advanced Cataract Training and Combined Ophthalmic Symposium meetings. At the ASCRS•ASOA Annual Meeting, Dr. Fram has been a vital asset in the Skills Transfer labs that are offered to physician attendees. She has served as the lead instructor for the Iris Suture lab for the last 2 years. In this pivotal role, Dr. Fram provides hands-on education where she guides attendees in various techniques, such as using sutures in the anterior segment management of complications, anomalies, and surgical challenges. Dr. Fram is an ophthalmologist at Advanced Vision Care in Los Angeles. She received her medi- cal degree from Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
