The speaker will dis- cuss future plans for the evolution of meaningful use requirements and how it connects to advancing clini- cal quality and value. The ASCRS•ASOA Annual Meet- ing has included the HIT sympo- sium for several years. Although the topics addressed at the symposium are similar each year, specific con- tent has evolved due to changing regulations and changes in practice knowledge regarding HIT. Last year, the session attracted about 500 people and was standing room only, Ms. Simerson said. "Everyone was very engaged," she said. Ms. Simerson also chairs the ASCRS HIT Subcommittee. Presenters will include Robert Lamont and Scott Hartzell, M.D., Eye Center of Central Pennsylvania, who will speak as a physician/ad- ministrator team.
