Crestpoint Management www.crestpointmgt.com Iris Expander Oasis Medical introduced the Iris Expander, a 7.0-mm-diameter polypropylene ring that expands and maintains access and visibility throughout the surgical procedure. The disposable device is indicated in cases where miosis and intraoperative floppy iris syndrome are present. Oasis Medical http://oasismedical.com Caro Manipulator Although a thin LASIK flap minimizes the risk of post-op corneal ectasia, sub-Bowman's keratomileusis using an automated microker- atome or femtosecond laser can sometimes be associated with folds and microstriae. This may require retreatment. Moria launched a dedicated hand-held instrument for external flap massage that can be used either intraop- eratively and/or in the post-op time. The Caro Manipulator has a hemispherical, highly pol- ished tip to avoid damage to the epithelium.
