Leica Microsystems www.leica-microsystems.com Cataract Pre-OP display Oculus developed a display for a comprehen- sive evaluation of the anterior eye segment before cataract surgery. Designed in collabo- ration with Prof. Naoyuki Maeda, the Cataract Pre-OP display will help surgeons determine whether a spheric, aspheric, multifocal, or toric IOL might be the best solution for pa- tients. This new display is part of the cataract package and free of charge to existing users. Oculus www.oculus.de PureVision 2 for Astigmatism with High Definition Optics Bausch + Lomb launched the PureVision 2 for Astigmatism with High Definition Optics contact lenses. The lenses feature HD optics, which are designed to improve clarity and improve the special vision correction needs of astigmatic patients. The lenses incorporate Auto Align Design, a stabilization system designed to maintain consistent stability and clarity throughout the day. Bausch + Lomb www.bausch.com OPMI 1 FR pro surgical microscope Carl Zeiss Meditec introduced the surgical microscope OPMI 1 FR pro. It features LED illumination with daylight characteristics, in combination with high resolution and color fidelity. The instrument's compact design permits flexible and stable positioning in small and large operating rooms. Also known as open for- nices conformers, the rings are available in three sizes: small (20 mm), medium (24 mm), and large (28 mm). The Symblepharon rings are used in cases where conjunctival cicatri- cial disease is present or after ocular trauma. The rings are effective in avoiding adhesions and shortening or retraction of the fornices and cul-de-sac without touching the cornea. Wilson carries both the 2100 (two tray) and 3100 (three tray) models. These sterilizers feature one- touch automatic controls and a digital display. Both models of the SteriSURE Dry Heat Steril- izers support USB printer output to provide a permanent record of the sterilization cycle data and have paperless data storage. It is fully equipped with all the necessary tools for a comprehensive eye exam including: an adjustable slit mecha- nism with up to 14 mm of aperture and a rotating magnification drum with 10X, 16X and 25X powers.
